CCTimer — Privacy Policy

CCTimer ("the app", "we") is a free utility that helps strategy game players track their in‑game upgrade timers across multiple accounts. This policy explains what data the app handles. By using CCTimer you agree to this policy.

1. Information you enter

The account names, player tags, and game data (JSON) you import are stored only on your device (local storage / app preferences). This information is never sent to us or to any server — we do not operate a backend and cannot see it. Deleting an account in the app, clearing the app's data, or uninstalling the app removes this data from your device.

2. Google account & Drive backup (optional)

CCTimer offers an optional backup feature that is turned off by default. If you enable it and connect your Google account, the app saves a copy of your timer data to a hidden app‑data folder inside your own Google Drive (the appDataFolder).

• We request only the drive.appdata permission (this hidden folder only) and your email address, which is used solely to show which account is connected.
• We cannot see or access any other files in your Google Drive.
• Your backup is stored in your own Google Drive — never on our servers. We have no backend and cannot read your backup.
• You can disconnect at any time in the app, or revoke access at your Google Account permissions page. Deleting the hidden file or revoking access removes the backup.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

CCTimer displays banner ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may automatically collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, general device information, and app usage. This processing is governed by Google's policies:

4. Notifications

If you enable alerts, CCTimer schedules local notifications on your device to remind you before timers finish. These are generated on your device and are not sent through us.

5. Links to other services

The app may contain a link to an external donation page (Ko‑fi). When you tap it, your browser opens that site, which has its own privacy policy. We do not receive any payment or personal information through the app.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. The only third party involved is Google — for advertising (section 3) and, if you choose to enable it, for storing your backup in your own Google Drive (section 2). We do not operate our own server and do not share your data with anyone else.

7. Your choices

• Ads: You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads).
• Backup: Disconnect your Google account in the app, or revoke access at your Google Account permissions page, to stop and remove Drive backup.
• Your data: Delete accounts in the app or uninstall to remove all locally stored data.

8. Children

CCTimer is a general‑audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
